As the nation recovered from the economic collapse of the Great Depression, a small group of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies and other county employees held a meeting at the Rosslyn Hotel with a common goal: to make positive change in each other's lives. In Room 116, they formed Los Angeles County Employees #11 Federal Credit Union. Within a month, they held their first Board of Directors meeting, approving 65 memberships and recording $149 in deposits.

Fast forward 88 years, we are steadfast in our commitment to helping people reach their financial goals. With more than 56,000 members, $900 million in assets, and capital reserves over 13.0% of assets, First City is a nation-leading, not-for-profit financial institution - owned and operated by its members since day one.
