Teller (Full Time) –  West Covina Branch

The successful candidate will process over the counter member transactions and provide general information on credit union products and services in an effort to cross-sell products that meet member needs.  Requirements include, balancing cash drawer within established guidelines, maintaining neat, legible, and accurate records of all transactions.

Minimum six months cash handling/customer service experience.  Financial institution experience preferred.  Credit union experience a plus.  Excellent communication skills in English, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality service to our members.

This position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

AVP, Branch Manager - Pasadena

The AVP, Branch Manager will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  •     Provides leadership, direction and goals for regional branches.  Accountable for the daily functioning of assigned branches, including scheduling and guiding staff, coaching performance, ensuring quality service to members, business development, and achieving business goals through the coordinated efforts of branch staff.
  •     Responsible for the hiring, development, training and motivation of the branch staff.  Evaluates employee performance and quality of work on a regular basis, provides coaching and guidance, and completes and administers performance evaluations.
  •     Provides training, direction and coaching of staff in fostering a sales and service culture.  Motivates staff in cross-sell activities.  Meets or exceeds operational objectives with regards to sales, service or financial objectives.
  •     Insures the application and compliance of established operating policies and procedures of the credit union.
  •     Reviews and approves loan applications within guidelines and authorization level.  Makes quality recommendations to the Executive Loan Officers for loans beyond loan limits.
  •     Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication to branch staff of corporate and department goals, direction and values.

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  •     Post secondary degree in management or finance preferred
  •     Minimum 5 years of experience in branch management in a full-service financial institution
  •     Professional written and verbal communication skills in English

Additional Information:
This branch is currently open Tuesday thru Saturday and will potentially open Monday thru Saturday.  You must be available to work the operational hours of the branch.

Senior Accountant – Los Angeles

The Senior Accountant will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  •     Assists in performing month-end closing of books, preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and management reports.
  •     Completes all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly investment accounting functions including the posting of all investment purchases and maturities and ensures that proper documentation is maintained in investment files.
  •     Performs daily general ledger posting and prepares general ledger reconciliations including the bank account reconciliation.  Ensures timely resolution of outstanding items.
  •     Maintains prepaid and fixed assets accounting process, including proper recording of invoices and the reconciliation of posting reports to general ledger accounts.
  •     Prepares and assists in the preparation of regulatory agency and governmental reports, including the call report, Federal Reserve FR 2900 Report, and the Business Property Tax Return and supporting worksheets.

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  •     Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
  •     Strong knowledge of basic accounting processes.
  •     Proficient in Microsoft Office application skills specifically Excel and Word.
  •     Equivalent to a BA or BS degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, accounting, etc.).
  •     Strong interpersonal skills employing courtesy, tact and diplomacy when dealing with credit union staff and outside vendors, auditors, etc.

Programmer – Los Angeles

The Programmer will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  •     Programs technical solutions for complex business problems to promote operational efficiency, facilitate management decision-making, and improve online experience for users and members.
  •     Performs maintenance and error detection/correction of existing code/languages and/or revisions to system documentation.
  •     Writes documentation to describe program logic and runs specifications for all departments.
  •     Acts as a liaison with software vendors in resolving end user problems with vendor programs.
  •     Assists with the installation, customization, and integration of purchased software systems to meet the Credit Union's requirements.

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  •     High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  •     Minimum of 3 years experience in systems analysis/Symitar programming preferred
  •     Proficiency in Symitar PowerOn programming, HTML, and either Visual Basic or JavaScript
  •     Working knowledge of either AIX (Unix) commands or Windows Server administration

Facilities Officer – Los Angeles

The Facilities Officer will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  •     Plans and oversees upgrades for facilities, furniture and equipment.
  •     Assists with Facilities capital budget.
  •     Facilitates the procurement of capital items from initial investigation of final sign-off with vendors and installation, as directed.
  •     Ensures the maintenance of capital items by negotiating and establishing service contracts and overseeing the fulfillment of those service contracts, as directed.
  •     Interfaces with Information Systems for cabling, electrical and fire security needs.
  •     Organizes and oversees the credit union’s on-site records storage.
  •     Provides facilities related assistance to the credit union’s designated Security Officer, including key control and parking key card system at administrative offices, and security equipment.

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  •     High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  •     Certified Facility Manager designation preferred
  •     Minimum 5 years of experience in a broad range of operational facilities areas and purchasing, requiring attention to detail with an emphasis on strong negotiating skills
  •     Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Windows preferred

Marketing Coordinator – Los Angeles

The Marketing Coordinator will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  •     Coordinates and/or produces effective and accurate member newsletters, flyers, brochures, posters, direct mail pieces, branch closed circuit video system, Intranet, and other external and internal communications.
  •     Creates and coordinates credit union advertisements and other community development materials.
  •     Updates the text and creates promotional graphics on the credit union’s website, as needed.
  •     Creates segmented files for mailings and reports for management analysis on MCIF system.
  •     Maintains a solid knowledge of the credit union’s programs and products, and is able to use that knowledge to effectively convey their features and benefits in appropriate marketing materials.
  •     Assists with business development efforts, including site visits and presentations to various select employer groups, and becomes involved in other areas in the credit union to enhance member service and improve promotional efforts.

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  •     Minimum two years college level instruction in business or a related field preferred
  •     Professional written and copywriting experience
  •     Social Media, Digital and eMailing marketing experience
  •     Excellent proofreading and copy editing skills
  •     Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  •     Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •     Well-developed project management and multi-tasking skills are essential
